Rules for posting on EZTechhelp.com
1. Members should post in a way that is respectful of others. Flaming, bashing, or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Remember that in a public forum, everyone has different opinions. If you ask for an opinion, expect an honest reply, do not be offended by this. At the same time, those giving their opinions should do so in a tactful, and respectful manner. 2. Profanity will not be tolerated. This site uses a word filter. Any member found to be working around the word filter will be notified by a site administrator or moderator. If the behavior continues, a warning will be issued. 3. We will not tolerate any jokes or insults pertaining to religious beliefs, race, or sexual preferences. Warnings will be issued to members who fail to follow this rule. 4. Remember that this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic, or generally offensive text, images, links, etc., will not be tolerated. The staff of EZTechhelp.com reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is considered as vulgar, and inappropriate is left up to the staff, not the members. Some examples of what is considered inappropriate: Pictures containing nudity, pictures or text with reference to sexual acts, posts with sexual content, links to another website that contain nudity or links to nudity. Basically, if you are wanting to view or discuss anything sexual related, find another place to do so. There are plenty of web sites out there for that, this is not one of them. Warnings will be issued to those who fail to follow this rule. 5. We ask that you do not try to act as a moderator, if in fact you are not one. In the event that you see something that goes against our rules, report it to a moderator or administrator, and they will take the appropriate actions against the member(s) in question. Do not try to reprimand the member yourself. Consistently acting as a moderator or administrator will lead to a warning. 6. We ask that you stay on topic. Please refrain from "post whoring" as it may in fact lead to flame wars or bashing, which has already been covered. Warnings may be issued to those who participate in post whoring. Examples of posting whoring include but not limited to: Responding with nothing but IM slang (lol,lmao,wtf..etc), multiple posting, starting a new topic within a thread. If you forgot something you wanted to say, please use the edit feature of the original post, rather than posting your additional thoughts right after your original post. 7. There is no such thing as a dumb question. But please use the search feature first before posting. If you honestly don't know, please ask, and do not bash people who ask questions. We wish to build a clean and friendly community where everyone feels welcome. 8. Hacking and Illegal activities are not allowed. See this thread for further clarification. Thank you everyone for following these guidelines. Have fun and enjoy your stay. ~EZTechhelp Staff -------------------- If I've helped you, don't forget to click the "Thanks" button :) |

*UPDATE!!*
9. Just for future reference, as this site continues to grow and expand, we will be getting many different types of members. We welcome all of them. However, it is only natural for people's differing personalities to clash. That being said, the staff will monitor behavior of members when dealing with other members closely. Especially in the off-topic section. Post whoring and generally off-topic subjects aren't as policed as they are in other forums. Sometimes we can use this forum to relax and have fun. But please know that this does not mean the off-topic section is a place to escape the rules of behavior on this site. Staff still holds the right to edit, close, or remove any topics and posts on this site as they see fit. 10.If at any time you have a problem with an action of a staff member or any policies outlined for this site, we ask that you keep those discussions to PM's or email ONLY. Any crying out, complaining about staff actions, polices, or insulting and disrespecting staff members will not be tolerated. This is also the same if you have an issue with another member. Do not fight with them on the public forums. Any member who does not conform to requests by the staff will receive a warning. All members have the right to speak their mind, but remember, we as the staff have the right to run this forum as we see fit. Our goal is to make this an enjoyable community to be a part of, so that all in the general audience can participate. 11. Have fun!!!! *UPDATE!!!!* In addition to the rules set by the administrators here at EzTechhelp.com, a recent event has forced us to implement a new guideline to the site. In order to protect our members, the following rules will be strictly enforced, as well as the other rules set by the administrators. If you wish to advertise your technology related services, and/or personal web site in which you make a profit from, it is mandatory that you contact a site administrator (Mdodge) via PM or email us at admins@eztechhelp.com, with a request to become a site affiliate. When making a request to become an affiliate, you will need to provide your full name, business email address, live contact information; such as instant messenger name or a phone number if available. Also, the complete address to your web site, details of what services you provide including prices. We also ask that you are able to provide at least 3 business references when requesting to become an affiliate of Eztechhelp.com. Any and all requests will be taken seriously and investigated before a final decision is made. Spamming will also not be tolerated. If you are not approved as a site affiliate and you push your services upon our members, you are considered a spammer and the same actions will be taken against you as if you were to scam a member. Which is, first time, a warning reminding you of this policy. Second time, a permanent ban against your account and IP address. The reasons for doing this is protection of ourselves, and of our members. Internet crimes are rising and we do not want our site to be known as a place for people being scammed. The warning system applies for scamming members as well. Let it be known, if an admin or moderator discovers you have offered services to our members without verifying your business with us first, you will be warned one time only. The warning will be a reminder of this policy. If you are caught doing it again, your account will be banned and you IP address will be banned as well. We do not take lightly to scams and/or spam. In the event you rip someone off, if they see fit to take it to the proper authorities and press charges, they may do so. It is our right as site administrators to supply the member who was scammed, with as much information on the transaction and dealings with the scammer as possible. This is serious. We will not tolerate it. A rundown of what was just said: You MUST provide us with information on your internet business before discussing it on Eztechhelp.com. Failure to do so will result in a warning for the first offence. Any further occurrences will result in a permanent ban on your account and IP address. If a transaction took place between you and another member but you did not follow through as promised, he/she may take legal actions against you and we will provide as much information to help with the investigation as we possibly can, such as any and all information of yours that we have on record for your account. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, contact the site administrators or a moderator and they will direct the question(s) to us. *UPDATE!!*
As an update to the Rules, we are now adding a policy against using the danasoft.com signs in member signatures. These signs look like the following: ![]() ![]() ![]() We feel that the information that these signs show is a privacy threat to our members, and it can be scary for those who do not know their nature. If anyone adds one of these signs to their signature, it will be removed and you will be warned. Failure to comply, leading in a member adding a danasoft sign back in their signature will lead to that member being banned. We take the privacy of our members very seriously and appreciate and expect full cooperation. Thank you, Eztechhelp Staff -------------------- Boomer
